The Chinese community is one of the largest in Barcelona and in the rest of the world too. This weekend there was a parade to celebrate the Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year in Barcelona.
In Japan we have adopted the Western calendar and we celebrate the New Year like many of you do the 1st January. However, many celebrations and culture in Japan come from China. Japan has the influence of this great country. For example, the Buddhist religion, the writing in kanji and some types of food such as gyoza or ramen and more are some of the things that come from China.
In Japan we also use the same horoscope, however there are small differences. The year of the goat or sheep? In
Asian Japanese Horoscope
Japan we say the year of the sheep羊, we pronounce it hitsuji, we never say the year of the goat山羊(yagi) . Nevertheless, the kanji or letter is the same. The other distinction is that in Japan say Year of the Boar (inoshishi 猪), never pork (buta豚). However, only for the horoscope we use different kanji letters which is the same as the Chinese have.

Año Nuevo Lunar o Año Nuevo Chino
Esta semana se ha celebrado el Año Nuevo Chino o año Lunar, los chinos son una comunidad muy numerosa en Barcelona i en el resto del mundo también. En Japón hemos adoptado el calendario occidental y celebramos el año nuevo como muchos de vosotros el 1 de Enero pero muchas de nuestras costumbres vienen de china, Japón tiene gran influencia de este gran país. Por ejemplo en la en la religión budista, la escritura o en alguna comida, como el ramen o el

gyoza aunque los japoneses han cambiado un poco la receta adaptándola al su gusto.
Nosotros también usamos el mismo horóscopo que en china, pero hay unas pequeñas diferéncias: ¿el año de la cabra o de la oveja? En Japón decimos año de la oveja羊 (se pronucia hitsuji ), nunca año de la cabra 山羊( cabra se dice yagi y se usa el kanji de montaña + oveja). Y la otra distinción es que en Japón decimos año del Jabalí (se dice inoshishi 猪, nunca cerdo (buta豚). Sin embargo solo para el horóscopo se adoptan otros kanji que son iguales que en china que no coinciden con la forma habitual de escribir estas palabras en japonés para estos animales ( ¡¡qué complicado!!)
