Nothing Last Forever

Nothing last forever /Ningen Banji Saiouga Uma

This is a Buddhist concept that shows us that nothing last forever, nothing either good or bad last forever.

I´ve heard the story of a man who had a horse. This horse ran away and the man was very sad but after a while the horse returned with another horse, and the man was very happy again to have two horses. But soon his son riding the horse  fell and broke his leg. This made him  sad again and he thought that was bad luck. Nevertheless his son would get rid of going to the war because of his broken leg. Again the man thought that he was lucky… nothing is eternal.

What do you think of this story? I thought it was a good example to explain this sentence. I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for reading my blog

Este es un concepto budista que enseña que las cosas no son eternas, ni las cosas buenas ni las cosas malas y a veces lo malo nos trae algo bueno.

Un día me explicaron la historia de un  hombre que tenía un caballo. Este caballo se escapó y el hombre estaba muy triste pero después de un tiempo el caballo regresó con otro caballo, y el hombre estaba muy contento por tener dos caballos. Pero al poco tiempo su hijo montando a caballo, se cayó y se rompió una pierna. Esto le puso triste otra vez y pensó que tenía mala suerte.  Pero más tarda supo que su hijo se libraría de ir a la guerra por haberse roto la pierna. Otra vez el hombre pensó que tenía suerte… nada es eterno.

¿Qué pensáis de esta historia? Se me ocurrió que era un buen ejemplo para explicar la frase.  Espero que os haya gustado y gracias por leer mi blog

How to Achieve Enlightenment ‘Satori wo Hiraku’

One day you wake up and you see everything clear, no pain, no suffering, no worrying, this is what Buddhist call “satori wo hiraku”. It is said that Buddha is the only one that has achieved that state of Enlightment in life, after years of training.

Life always implies some kind of suffering. because we have desire, hate, love, pains, obsessions, etc. In Buddhism we say that when we die all this “suffering” disappears and we achieve the `Enlightment’. We´ll reach the same category of Buddha when we die, this is why we call the dead “hotoke sama” .It is the same rank or category that Buddha has. The word “hotoke”means God.
In conclusion, living without pain is nearly impossible, training for it would take ages, however we have the choice to stop our bad mood, as there will be always pain in life and we can choose to suffer less. What do you think about that? life always implies suffering?

Un día te levantas y lo ves todo claro, sin dolor, sin preocupaciones, sin sufrimiento, esto es lo que los Buddistas llamamos ´satori wo hiraku’. Se dique que Buda ha sido el único que ha alcanzado este estado de ‘Iluminación’ después de años de entrenamiento.
La vida siempre implica algún tipo de sufrimiento porque tenemos deseos, odio, dolor, amor, obsesiones, etc

En el Budismo decimos que cuando nos morimos todo este ‘sufrimiento’ desaparece y también podemos alcanzar ‘el iluminación’.  También se dice que nosotros logramos la misma categoría que Buda cuando nos morimos. Por eso llamamos a los muertos Hotoke Sama que es el mismo rango que tiene Buda. La palabra “hotoke” significa dios.

En conclusión, vivir sin dolor es muy difícil, casi imposible y entrenar para ello puede llevar años, por eso nosotros mismos tenemos la opción de cambiar algunos sentimientos malos ya que siempre habrá sufrimiento.  ¿Tenéis alguna opinión sobre este tema?
